Where we are

Via Ricasoli 23, between the Duomo and the Accademia

We are on one of the oldest streets in the centre, the one that runs from Piazza del Duomo to the Galleria dell'Accademia. Everything people come to Florence for is within walking distance — you will never need to take a bus.

On foot

How long it actually takes

Times measured at an unhurried walking pace, not optimistic estimates.

  • Duomo and Baptistery 3 minutes
  • Galleria dell'Accademia (David) 3 minutes
  • Mercato Centrale 10 minutes
  • Piazza della Signoria 10 minutes
  • Uffizi Gallery 12 minutes
  • Ponte Vecchio 14 minutes
  • Santa Maria Novella station 12 minutes
  • Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens 20 minutes
Something guests never expect: the entrance is on the street, but the apartments look onto the internal courtyard of the palazzo. You sleep in silence, three minutes from the Duomo.

By car

We are inside the ZTL, so you cannot drive in without a permit. The nearest garage is on Via Ricasoli, almost opposite our door, and it registers your number plate for ZTL entry.

ZTL (restricted traffic zone): the cameras are live all year round and the fines arrive months later. The garage is what lets you in legally: give them your number plate when you book the space and they register it for you. If you are unsure about the route, write to us before you set off.
